I Migliori Album Progressive Rock del 2015
An International Guide
Il 2015 è stato un anno fondamentale per i fan del progressive rock, specialmente in Italia. La novità più importante? Il debutto in edicola della rivista Prog Italia, diretta da Guido Bellachioma. Supportata da critici esperti, la testata si è subito imposta come un punto di riferimento imperdibile: uno spazio che unisce il sound storico degli anni '70, il revival degli anni '80 e le migliori uscite contemporanee. Uno strumento prezioso per chiunque voglia approfondire il genere.
Ma il 2015 ha brillato soprattutto per una produzione discografica straordinaria. Nuove formazioni e storici pilastri del genere hanno unito le forze per mantenere altissimo l'interesse degli appassionati. Prima di passare alla classifica, ci sono alcuni lavori eccezionali che meritano una menzione d'onore in ordine sparso:
Steven Wilson – "Hand. Cannot. Erase.": Un album musicalmente perfetto. Un concept profondo e toccante che racconta la storia drammatica di una donna che, isolata nel cuore della città, viene ritrovata morta in casa ben tre anni dopo il decesso.
Neal Morse Band – "The Grand Experiment": L'ennesimo capolavoro firmato dall'inconfondibile ex tastierista e voce degli Spock's Beard.
Unreal City – "Il Paese del Tramonto": Un fantastico gioiello di rock progressivo rigorosamente made in Italy, sulla scia della tradizione del Banco del Mutuo Soccorso e non solo.
L'incredibile proposta di quell'anno non si ferma qui: il panorama è arricchito da altre formazioni di altissimo livello come Ciccada, Mystery, Beardfish, I Am The Manic Whale, Arabs in Aspic, Anekdoten, Jordsjo e Gandalf's Fist.
