             I Migliori Album Progressive Rock del 2014

                                               An International Guide

Il  2014 è stato un anno particolarmente prolifico riguardo nuove pubblicazioni di album progressive. Molti nuovi gruppi, da tutto il mondo, si sono affacciati a questo genere meraviglioso. Io in questo blog proverò a stilare la solita personalissima classifica dei migliori album per tracciare una strada e non perdersi nel labirinto di centinaia di lavori apprezzabili ma di minore valore artistico.

 DISCOGRAFIA CONSIGLIATA

                                           1) Transatlantic - Kaleidoscope (Multinazioni)

Un album perfetto dei maestri del prog, con brani epici come "Into the Blue" e brani più brevi ma di grande impatto. "Shine" e " Black as the Sky".

                                                           2) Agusa - Hogtid (Svezia)

Bellissimo album di Instrumental psychedelic prog, ben costruito con pesanti sezioni di organo che ci riportano alla fine degli anni '60 e agli inizi dei '70. Un brano su tutti "Ostan Om Sol, Vastan Om Mane"

                                         3) Corvus Stone - Corvus Stone II (Multinazioni)

Ancora un validissimo lavoro dei Multinazioni Corvus Stone. Questo secondo album ripropone  il crossover prog già espresso  nell'album d'esordio ma con delle peculiarità nuove e personali. Sembra che produrre musica a distanza, ognuno nel proprio studio privato di registrazione, sia un ulteriore stimolo per questi ragazzi che si sono conosciuti sui social ed hanno formato questa meravigliosa band.

Esordio scoppiettante per questa band norvegese, capace di sorprenderci con questo lavoro Heavy Prog perfettamente strutturato.

Sebbene sia un album di alternative rock con influenze progressive, merita di occupare questa posizione. Brani principali: "Simple as That", "Alone at Sea", e "Sense of Fear".
